For example CIF 5000$ ==> (1) Custom Duty = 5000$ x 30% = 1500$ , Commercial Tax = (5000$ + 1500$) x 25% = 1650$ , Total Tax at Custom Office = 1500$ + 1650$ = 3150$ (@exchange rate issued by Custom Office), (2) ကညန = (5000$ x 83.33%) x 50% = 2083.25$ (by FEC), TOTAL TAX TO GOVERNMENT = Tax in Custom Office + ကညန ခြန္ = 3150$ + 2083.25$ = 5233.25$ for any type of Cars under 1350cc. There may be a fine at Custom Office that car is not reconditioned. It is usually 100000Ks.If anything wrong, please modify my calculation. Good Day to all!
